Event Details

The Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity (NPLD) and the Welsh television channel S4C are holding a joint conference, entitled ‘European Cooperation for Regional Language Broadcasting’. The conference will be held in Cardiff, Wales on 8th-9th December 2011.

The conference will focus on current topics effecting broadcasting in regions and countries with regional and minority languages, including New Media, Digitalisation and Cross Border Transmission.

The event will be placed within an EU perspective as we are eager to provide an opportunity for attendees to share experiences with counterparts working in the field of broadcasting in regional and minority languages. We aim to accommodate an open dialogue amongst broadcasters and programme commissioners from all over Europe on the benefits and challenges of European cooperation and ultimately, increasing and improving the provision available to the public in our respective languages.

During the Friday lunch break there will be an opportunity for networking with other broadcasters, and there will be a poster session which will give attendees an opportunity to showcase their products with a view to share best practice and resources. If you would like to take part in the poster session, please inform the NPLD secretariat at post@npld.eu .

Mae’r Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity (NPLD) a’r sianel deledu Gymraeg S4C yn cynnal cynhadledd ar y cyd, o dan y teitl, ‘Cydweithio Ewropeaidd ar gyfer Darlledu Ieithoedd Rhanbarthol’. Bydd y gynhadledd yn cael ei chynnal yng Nghaerdydd ar 8fed-9fed Rhagfyr 2011. Bydd y gynhadledd yn canolbwyntio ar destunau cyfredol sy’n effeithio ar ddarlledu mewn rhanbarthau a gwledydd sydd â ieithoedd rhanbarthol a lleiafrifol, yn cynnwys y Cyfryngau Newydd, Digido a Thrawsyriant Trawsffiniol.

Bydd y digwyddiad yn cael ei osod o fewn persbectif Undeb Ewropeaidd, gan ein bod yn awyddus i ddarparu cyfle i fynychwyr i rannu profiadau gyda chyfoedion sy’n gweithio yn y maes darlledu trwy gyfrwng ieithoedd rhanbarthol a lleiafrifol. Rydym yn anelu at gymhwyso deialog agored ymysg darlledwyr a chomisiynwyr rhaglenni o Ewrop gyfan ynghylch buddion a heriau cydweithio Ewropeaidd ac, yn y pen draw, gynyddu a gwella’r ddarpariaeth sydd ar gael i’r cyhoedd yn ein ieithoedd priodol.

Yn ystod egwyl amser cinio’r dydd Gwener, bydd cyfle i rwydweithio gyda darlledwyr eraill, ac fe fydd sesiwn poster a fydd yn rhoi cyfle i fynychwyr arddangos eu cynnyrch er mwyn rhannu arferion da ac adnoddau. Os hoffech gymryd rhan yn y sesiwn poster, a fyddech chi cystal â rhoi gwybod i ysgrifenyddiaeth yr NPLD ar post@npld.eu ?

Gallwch gofrestru ar gyfer y gynhadledd am ddim ar y dudalen hon.
